Who I Am . . .

Hi, I’m Sophie — founder of SO Pilates and a fully trained classical Pilates instructor. My journey with Pilates began over 12 years ago, originally as a way to help manage hyper mobility as well as back and neck problems after an injury as a child. What started as a personal passion quickly became something I truly believed in, not only for the physical benefits, but for the positive impact Pilates can have on strength, confidence, posture, mobility, and everyday life.

I trained at the renowned PI Studios in London and am proud to be a 4th generation classical Pilates teacher, meaning the method I teach has been passed down through generations of instructors closely connected to the original teachings of Joseph Pilates. I’m passionate about teaching Pilates in a way that feels welcoming, supportive, and accessible to everybody, whether you are completely new to Pilates or have years of experience.

My classes focus on precise movement, strong foundations, and helping clients feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected to their bodies. I believe Pilates is about much more than exercise it’s about moving well, feeling good, and creating long-term strength and confidence that carries into everyday life.

“Patience and persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavour.” Joseph Pilates
